Yesterday, Douglas Ross was elected leader of the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
Douglas will focus on building a Scotland not on the divisions of the past but on rebuilding the country from the brink, restoring the reputation for educational excellence, empowering our regions and remote communities, and providing decent jobs that everyone can aspire to.
In his first month as leader he will publish a plan for jobs, setting out our strategy to protect people’s livelihoods up and down the country as we recover from coronavirus.
As children have been receiving their exams results, which has led to confusion and anger for many, Douglas promises to put education back at the top of the agenda.
Douglas Ross has a more positive future for our country. Only the Scottish Conservatives will take Scotland forward.
