David Rocks, the Scottish Conservative and Unionist candidate in the General Election for North Ayrshire and Arran has announced his five priorities for the constituency if elected on June 8th.
They are -
- Support the Ayrshire Growth Deal and work with all parties to bring about jobs and opportunities for young people and the unemployed.
- Seek more investment in local roads and transport links on the mainland and Arran and Cumbrae.
- Fight anti-social behaviour and support regeneration of town centres and work to enable and encourage small businesses to develop in our communities.
- Promote rural and island issues, speak up for farmers and highlight rural crime.
- Support a Hunterston ‘C’ Nuclear Power Station in North Ayrshire providing jobs, opportunities and infrastructure investment for the area.
David said, “ These are the issues that people want to talk about on their doorsteps but many are also against a further Independence Referendum. I completely agree and will always oppose any move to try to break up the UK ”.
