We are deeply saddened to learn that Councillor John Glover died on February 24th 2024 after a period of ill health.
He was a greatly valued local Councillor and champion of our Association. John was elected as the first Conservative Councillor of Kilwinning ward in 2017 and was re-elected in 2022.
He was held in great regard by the people he represented and was a dutiful public servant during his time in office. John had a long a varied career in different parts of Scotland and he was passionate and knowledgeable about many topics.
He had a story about everything and his sense of humour, warmth and kindness will be sorely missed.
The funeral service will take place at 3 pm on Friday 15th March at Clyde Coast and Garnock Valley Crematorium then on to Dalry Bowling Club.
We extend our heartfelt sympathy to John's family from all of us at NAACUA, particularly John's colleagues on the council and myself who had the pleasure of knowing him as a dear friend.
