The road to Birmingham was busy with Ayrshire Conservatives travelling there to attend the National Conservative Conference which ran from Sunday 31st September to Wednesday 1st October. The activists heard speeches by major government Ministers on a range of topics including the Economy, Terrorism, National Health Service and the Prime Minister's plans for 'Securing a Better Future' for Britain.
With the largest attendance in 10 years at the conference, on Wednesday, the packed Symphony Hall cheered the Prime Minister's welcome for the outcome of the Scottish Referendum and his renewed pledge to fullfill his Vow to legislate for further devolution to Scotland.
Ayrshire members chatted to Ruth Davidson, leader of the Scottish Conservatives at a reception on Tuesday evening where she commented that she was delighted that all 3 Ayrshire Council areas had voted NO in the Referendum.
