Annabel Goldie, West of Scotland Conservative MSP, was in confident mood when she met a group of Conservative supporters in Beith last Sunday (11th May).
Meeting in the Eglinton Inn, Annabel spoke of her expectation of a substantial victory in the Referendum later this year as she explained the benefits of staying in the UK. In particular, she commented on the support being shown for the UK by younger people who have a wider global vision through social media and the internet and do not want to see barriers or borders erected around them.
She also spoke in favour of Dr. Ian Duncan, the Conservatives No 1 list candidate at the European election on 22nd May. She stated that a strong Conservative showing would ensure his election and said that he would be an asset to Scotland in the European Parliament.
Annabel then answered many questions including on the voting age, economy and jobs, further devolution to Holyrood and local government finance.
